Try Dynamic Creative for Installs

· New features,Useful tips

Now you can optimize your Dynamic Creative (more about the tool here) campaigns for Mobile App Installs in our tool.

Dynamic Creative allows you to create various combinations of images, text pieces and ad titles and test their performance against each other for most personalised impressions.

This is good news for a number of reasons:

  • Initially, Dynamic Creative was only available for Link Clicks objective, which was insufficient for marketing goals of most users. Now it can be utilized for one more campaign objective and help resolve many more challenges than before.
  • This feature solves the problem of creating and optimising large quantities of creatives, as well as making A/B testing more reliable.
  • The self-learning algorithm takes all Facebook metrics into account to minimize your app’s CPI by displaying the most efficient creative combination.

How to create Installs Campaign with Dynamic Creative

To create a campaign:

  • Learn more technical requirements of Dynamic Creative campaigns:

      • Ad Formats:
        • No video support

      • Number of Assets in Asset Feed:

        • Total number of titles limited to 10
        • Total number of links limited to 10
        • Total number of descriptions limited to 10. If you do not specify any description, we will scrape the link you provided to retrieve the description as we now do for link ads
        • Title/Description/Body text max length 255.
      • Asset Feed: Read only; you can re-use asset feed ID, but not edit it. To change or re-use an asset feed, create a new one.
      • url_tags (Optional): Only available for IMAGES, BODIES, DESCRIPTIONS, and TITLES fields. Facebook appends url_tags to the link URL as parameters for each asset in an ad.

Step 0. Login via Facebook at fb.aitarget.com and choose your adaccount in the dashbord and click to its name.

Step 1. Press the “Create Campaign” button and you will see the window where you can choose the type of your ads campaign.

Choose "Mobile App" -> "Get new installs"

Step 2. Choose your adset budget as shown here.

Step 3. Choose your target audience as shown here, but do not forget to exclude Instagram in the placement choosing field (Reportedly, Facebook will support Dynamic Creative for this placement soon).

Step 4. The interface you see depends on the chosen advertising objective.

  1. Choosing a Facebook Page or Instagram profile.
You need to choose a page from the list of available Facebook pages or, if necessary an Instagram account. If you don’t have a Facebook page, you can create one. If you don’t have a connected Instagram account, please click here to read how to attach one to your account.
  2. Preparing your ads materials.
You should prepare all the materials for your advertising campaign in advance. Please note the technical demands for images, texts and links.
  3. Setting up other fields.
The mandatory parameter for any Website Clicks campaign is Website URL.
  4. Ad “Sandbox”

The “sandbox” for creating your ads is where you can build your ads by using the easy drag and drop interface to add your chosen objects. The process of ad creations contains several simple steps:

  • Upload your pictures in the left column by using “Drop Files Here” field or by clicking the “Select Files” button.
  • If you have already some pictures uploaded, you can choose them from the Library.
  • You can copy headlines or texts from Excel, Google Docs or any text file and paste them into the “Headline” and “Texts” fields. Separate phrases will be automatically determined as separate objects and automatically added in the lower “sandbox” respectively.

Step 5. Completion
The final step of creating your ads is the settings check (especially the Budget). If all is correct, then:

1. There will not be any errors like in the image below:

If such errors appear, click the red button and get the hint telling you how to rectify the issue.

2. If everything is right, every step will be marked with the green arrow.

3. The green “Create N New Ad(s)” button will appear, where N is the number of Ads that will be created for each audience.

4. Wait for this window to pop up:

Congratulations! You have successfully created all your Dynamic Creative Ads. You can click the “Create Similar Ads” button to go back to the previous settings and use them to create a new Ad Campaign or you can click the “Continue” button to see the statistics dashboard for your Ad Campaigns.
