Advertising platform updates: July 2026

July brought a new wave of AI tools for ad creation (LinkedIn, Meta) and continued the trend toward transparency and consolidated campaign management (Google). Snapchat and Telegram bet on integrations and community tools, while TikTok expanded performance solutions for niche verticals like streaming.

Meta Ads

Update What changed Impact on advertisers
Muse Image Meta released its own AI model for generating and editing images, which will soon appear in Advantage+ creative and let advertisers assemble creative variations from multiple photos and targeted edits. Advertisers will be able to produce creatives faster and more cheaply, without needing designers.
Holiday Insights Center Meta launched a hub with consumer data and a step-by-step playbook to help small businesses prepare for the holiday season. Helps plan seasonal campaigns early — 2026 holiday sales are projected to reach $1.4 trillion.
AI in shopping and affiliate AI-generated product summaries now appear after an ad click, and the creator affiliate program expanded to new partners (Amazon, Shopee, eBay, and others). Strengthens the "see it — learn about it — buy it" loop inside Meta's ecosystem and gives creators more ways to monetize.

TikTok Ads

Update What changed Impact on advertisers
Streaming Ads A new Smart+-powered format built specifically for streaming services, with carousels and interactive cards showing ratings and genre. In testing, 80% of Streaming Ads campaigns outperformed standard campaigns — useful for local streaming platforms.
Smart+ modular control Advertisers can now turn automation on or off separately for targeting, budget, and placements. Gives more flexibility while keeping the benefits of automation — especially useful for agencies managing multiple brands.

Google Ads

Update What changed Impact on advertisers
AI transparency labels My Ad Center now has a "how this ad was made" section, and advertisers got a tool to manually label AI-generated content. Worth checking your disclosure settings in advance — in some countries the label may appear directly on the ad itself.
Video campaign groups Multiple YouTube video campaigns can now be grouped under a single reach-and-frequency goal. Simplifies brand-performance strategy management: per Google, an optimal frequency of 2.7 impressions/week drives a 19% ROI lift.

Telegram Ads

The platform is on summer break and released no advertising updates this month.

LinkedIn Ads (new section)

LinkedIn added a set of AI tools to Campaign Manager: Brand Kit, Draft with AI, AI Ad Variants, and Ads Personalisation. They help quickly put together a first ad draft and test several variations while staying on-brand.

Per LinkedIn, campaigns with 5+ ad variants get 20%+ higher CTR than single-ad campaigns — especially valuable for smaller B2B teams without an in-house design staff.

Snapchat Ads

Update What changed Impact on advertisers
HubSpot integration Leads from Snapchat now flow directly into HubSpot, while the Conversions API sends conversion data back to Snapchat. Per Snapchat, lead-gen CTR rose 77% YoY and cost-per-lead dropped 26% YoY.
Power Agency Program Snapchat introduced a new agency program with training, analytics, early access to new ad products, and support from platform experts. Agencies get earlier access to test new Snapchat capabilities and can run client campaigns more effectively.

ChatGPT Ads

Update What changed Impact on advertisers
Custom Audiences Advertisers can now upload custom audiences (25,000+ users) to include or exclude from campaigns, plus set bid adjustments for specific audiences. Enables more precise targeting, excluding existing customers and raising bids for higher-value segments.
Conversion-Optimized Campaigns (oCPC) Campaigns optimized for conversions are now live. The algorithm targets users more likely to complete the target action, while billing still runs on a per-click basis. Helps drive more conversions without switching to a CPA billing model.
Overview Dashboard Ads Manager gained a new Overview tab showing account health, optimization recommendations, and expanded trends for key metrics. Makes it easier to monitor campaign performance and spot growth opportunities faster.
Suggested Ad Drafts ChatGPT Ads now automatically generates ad drafts from website information — image, headline, and description — that can be edited before launch. Speeds up creating new ads and launching campaigns.
Launch in Japan and South Korea ChatGPT Ads' footprint expanded — campaigns can now target users in Japan and South Korea. Opens access to new markets without switching ad platforms.
Refreshed ad card format Static ads got a more compact design with larger visual elements on web and mobile. Increases ad visibility and improves the user experience.
Average Daily Budget Fixed daily budgets are being replaced by a 7-day average daily budget. Spend can vary day to day while staying within the weekly limit. Gives the algorithm more flexibility to distribute budget efficiently.
Geo Exclusion Advertisers can now exclude specific regions from campaign targeting. Allows finer control over geographic reach.
Bulk API The Ads API now supports bulk creation and updates of campaigns, ad groups, and creatives. Speeds up automation for larger ad accounts.
Automatic Advanced Matching Automatic advanced matching helps connect more conversions to ads using hashed customer data. Improves the accuracy of campaign performance measurement.
Refreshed Product Feed Ads cards Product cards now show price and rating directly in the ad. Makes product ads more informative and can lift CTR and conversion rate.
AppsFlyer and Adjust integrations ChatGPT Ads integrated with AppsFlyer and Adjust to measure app installs and in-app events. Simplifies attribution for mobile campaigns and performance analysis.

Evido by Aitarget

Update Benefit for advertisers
Local wallets for Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan The platform now offers local-currency wallets for clients in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan. Balances can be topped up by bank card with no extra currency conversion.
Telegram Insider : geo expansion (Brazil, Colombia, Mexico) Telegram Insider added new markets: Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. New Latin American countries were added to the channel and audience selection — more inventory for advertisers planning to enter or test these markets.
Updated TikTok account request form The form now collects more business and advertising information upfront (for example, a license can be uploaded right away for whitelisting). This speeds up ad launches, since some checks happen in advance rather than after submission.
